Minister of Education Proposes Extending NYSC Service to Two Years
In a recent development, Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, has proposed extending the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program from its current one-year duration to two years. This suggestion aims to enhance the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Training for corps members, equipping them with better tools to become job creators in the country.
Dr. Alausa made this recommendation during a meeting with the NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, in Abuja.
